Bottle. Hazy dark golden body under a small, off-white head. The aroma is lightly malty, with a flowery, citrusy hoppiness. Pine cones, resins, grass and some grapefruit in the flavor, less flowery, and with a nice bitterness. Full to medium body, nice carbonation, rather dry. Lasting finish. A bit on the malty side this one, and with a bit unbalanced hoppyness, but it’s a decent beer anyway. 150625

On tap. A clear golden-orange beer with a small white head. Citrusy, pine and orangey aroma with a touch of pale malts. There’s a soft bitterness in the mouth, it’s medium bodied and quite dry, with a pleasant carbonation level. Orange zest, pine cones and some pale malts in the finish, lasting for a good while. Refreshing and tasteful. 150618

This was poured into a mini snifter.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin off white film of sporadic tan head. Lacing is mainly non-existent.
The smell starts off with a dark chocolate and light cherry, semi-sweet. As it warms, a light milk chocolate enters. Light roasted coffee beans and vanilla notes blend together. All throughout, the cherry is super subtle.
The taste is sweet and bitter at different times adding a subtle roasty coffee smoothness. A sticky sweet chocolate aftertaste leads into a sticky sweet chocolate finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. Carbonated nicely as a D/I Stout, smooth roasty notes stroll over my tongue.
Overall, as a double/Imperial Stout it works however don’t expect a lot of cherry.

Bottle in Salisbury. Pours lightly unclear gold with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds some biscuity pale malts, slight grain, tangerine, generic citrus rind. Light-medium sweet flavor with dried citrus character, some pine needles, dried grains. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty well balanced to finish, some further dry and lightly rindy citrus, pale bread, low sweetness. Simple but effective APA.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a deep dark amber color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left no lacing. The aroma was bitter and a bit tangy with mixed fruity hops and a touch of pine. The flavor was sweetish and somewhat fruity with a bit of perfume. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a large fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was grassy, perfumy and had a bit of cactus. The flavor was bitter and tangy perfume, grass and lemon. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Boulder Liquor Mart. Pours a hazy dark reddish orange appearance with a cream colored head. Bland, bitter hops in the nose. Very light citrus, a little pine, caramel. A little chalky in the mouth. Moderately spicy. Medium plus bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Toasted bread, light pine, dough. Boring.

12 oz. bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a clear bright orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is pretty sweet, with caramel malts, big resinous hops, and a syrupy quality. Flavour is certainly on the sweet malty side for a IIPA, bordering on cloying sweetness, with lots of resinous hops underneath. Not at all my kind of IIPA - just way too sweet for me. It's not bad though.
