750ml bottle. Opaque, darkest chestnut, quasi black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Aroma has BA notes in front, oak, wood, some vanilla, peaty and smoky background with a touch of smoked eel and minimally chocolately, dark malty flavours, a tannic touch, some leather. Taste is slightly dry, smoky, peaty, woody, oaky and tannic, chocolately and caramel malty basis, hints of treacle and chocolate, a touch of letaher. The woody BA notes somehow decompose the heavier chocolately and peaty-smoky conglomerate of the base beer, No improvement or refinement here...

08-01-19 // tap at Hopfenreich Berlin. Unclear yellow golden. White head. Lactic fruity nose. Acidic witbier like. Wouldnt guess it as a gose. Yeast and lactobacillus are present. There is a minimal salt touch maybe but well embedded. Dry acidic finish. Quickly fading but leaving a lactic fruit aroma in the mouth. Good.
