Draft - Grapefruit and weedy Skunky hops. Hazy gold with a decent white head. Tastes just as it smells, but very light and refreshing. If you like the Skunky weedy hop profile this is very nice.

On cask at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of coconut flakes, maybe some residual roasty porter notes. Flavour is soft and restrained, with coconut flakes upfront, which steal the show. Rather muted flavours and a very soft, nearly flat palate. I much prefer the regular Porter.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark brown color, apparently cloudy, with beige head. The aroma is a bit yeasty and metallic. The mouthfeel is mellow, the flavor is a bit chocolatey and bready, with light liquorice, light esters, too much yeast.
It’s not a bad beer, but it’s very far from being an Altbier.

Hazy yellow, thin head. Big floral nose, honeyish, has a moderate bittermess, lychee fruitiness,good IPA but I’d be reaching to find the spice.

On tap. Pours a clear dark mahogany with light head. Aromas of dried chocolate, nuts and dried dark fruit. Flavors carry same with additional dry toasty malts and an emphasis on bitter nuttiness. Clean, though not really a fan of the style.

Draft - Pithy grapefruit and a little resin. Clear gold with a good white head. Sweet orange peel and nice bitterness. Decent. Draft - Brewery- Much better visually, clear gold and a rich head. Aroma and taste are a Skunky weedy hop with a nice sweetness. Much better.

Draft, Alibi & at the brewery. Dull light brown. Not much head. Mellow nose, taste is a little tart, touch of coffee, touch of smoke. Light example...next batch needs more smoke and more sugar. And no tartness. Poor example.

Draft - Roasted malts and chocolate with a light hint of smoke. Jet black with a small beige head. Lots of roast, burnt toast and a bittersweet finish. Not really enough smoke character. Nitro - At brewery more smoke notes but still not enough for my taste.
