(Bottle 50 cl) Pours pitch black with a weak, reddish tint and a handsome, creamy and cappuchinoish, beige head leaving laces. Soft aroma of hard roasted malts with a whiff of chocolate. Surprisingly light-bodied - almost a bit watery. Lots of roasted malt, lightly coffeeish and dry - very dry indeed. Lightbitter finish. Pleasant if not exactly a great Porter. 020606

Hazy orange brown color. Looks like a wit. No head, but has a funky barnyard sour nose. Hoppier than I expect for the style, but not off putting. Barnyard flavors continue in mouth. Off dry finish.

Highly carbonated with a big white head that quickly disappeared. A yeasty, orange and banana filled nose. Unbalanced body, lots of carbonation and too much hops for the style. Some orange flavors, but this is just poorly constructed.

Huge light brown head that quickly disappated. Light brown color, but has an weak minerally nose. Med-full body with thick syrupy sweet chocolate flavors. I found this a bit off balance. Sweet malty finish, with a bit of nuttiness. Interesting, but still a work in progress IMO.

Bottle 0,5l. Bright golden colour. Hazy. Lots of sediments. A foamy semi-lasting head. Fruity smell. Aroma of different fruits and spices. An almost infinite aftertaste of sourish fruits.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear mahogany with a creamy, beige head. Hard roasted malt in the aroma. For a Nøgne Ø beer the body is surprisingly light - medium at the most - almost a bit watery. Lots of hard roasted malt in here with a vaguely burned edge. Subdued bitter finish. This mostly reminds me of a light English Porter or Mild. Pleasant and very quaffable. 220505

[Bottled at Københavnske Øldage] Ruby. Small creamy head. Surprisingly neutral aroma. Sweet with a really solid body. There’s molasses and and intense flavours of roasty malt. When the flavours opens up it reveals cookie malt and licorice. Salty finish. I much prefer the non-imperialized version.
