Bottle (a Bodensee Bottle!): Clear copper coloured, smaller collapsing lacy off-white head; clean sweetish dark-malty and caramelly nose with a touch of a toasted malt; solid sweet(-malty) and slightly bitter flavour; light to medium bodied; lingering, well balanced sweet-bitter finish with a touch of unfermented roasted barley. Very pleasant, very well crafted Dunkel...........

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Slightly sweet and grainy malty aroma with a good dash of herbal hops. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a well-matured carbonation. Rounded malty, slightly grainy and herbal hoppy taste, leading into a dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish. Slim but likeable Pilsner-like Helles (13.V.09).
