Slightly hazy red brown colour, beige head. Aroma of Bourbon, vanilla, malts, brown sugar. Sweet malty flavour, quite bitter, malts, caramel, vanilla, rose water and lots of wood. Finish malts, wood, Bourbon and hops.

(Thx! for sharing) Sampled 655 ml. bottle @ Gents Bierfestival 2015. Deep brown amber, little head. Nose is sweet oak, vanilla, bourbon, sugar, light maple, candy, rich malt, sugar,… Taste is sweet bourbon, oxidized, leaves, sugar, candy, light pine hops, caramel malts, bitterness in the back. Body is a bit thin, light oxidation. Quite nice all the same.

Small off-white rim over fully opaque dark brown beer with orange reflections. Very aromatic, even perfumey C-hops, rosewater, sweet. Bourbon, vanilla, alcohol, chocolate, coloured malts. "Hot", alcoholheat, slick & full bodied. Nice, but once more, nothing new.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Clear gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and crispy, nice condition. Clean pale malts. Zesty orange and lemon. The ginger manifests weirdly - like herb and nettles. A touch of perfume as well, parma violets underneath. Light finish with a bitter peel linger. Unusual. Quite liked it after the initial shock.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2015. Clear gold colour lasting white head. like lemon meringue pie on the aroma. Then the ginger kicks in. It’s OK. Starts better than it finishes. Bit like washing up liquid.

Cask at GBBF. It pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. The nose is soft, spicy, fresh lemon, Ginger & lemon tea and icing sugar. The taste is bitter, spicy, fiery ginger, oily, pithy lemon, grapefruit rind, mild astringency and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad.
