Située en plein cœur de la plaine de Beauce, la Brasserie de Chandres est née au sein de la ferme de la famille Crosnier, agriculteurs à Sours près de Chartres, depuis plusieurs générations. A son retour à la ferme en 2005, Vincent Crosnier souhaite diversifier l’activité de l’exploitation, et crée une microbrasserie qui emploie aujourd’hui toute la famille.

It is a correct beer coming from the Belgian school. It is a bit like a Duvel, sparkling, sour and hop, a bit watery, 05.05.2016.

Bottle from a farm shop in France. Brownish amber with a full head. Aroma has a touch of raspberry. Flavour is chocolate caramel, raspberry, biscuity finish.

Bottle from a farm shop in France. Hazy gold with a large white head. Aroma of cloves and banana. Flavour is wheat grains, spicy fruit, dark nut base, sweet finish.

Bottle at a share. Pours hazed gold with an off-white head. Aroma: Biscuit, fruity, caramel, booze, light yeasty. Taste: moderate sweet with lighter bitterness, dry-ish palate. Medium body with foamy carbonation.

T: medium malty base, bready, herbal, citrus touch, vaguely fruity, biscuits, grainy, bit weak bitterness, medium carbonation, nothing really special here as I expected.

33cl bottle from Carrefour Drive Châlons-En-Champagne. F: medium, off-white, quick gone. C: pale gold, hazy. A: malty, wheat, orange peels, banana, spicy. T: medium malty base, banana, clove touch, spicy, light soapy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, actually better than expected, enjoyed.
