Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and fairly light with a decent minerally crisp bite on the backend. Light malt base brings a mild creamy sweetness. Light tropical fruits on the nose carry over seamlessly into the flavour. Re reading the hop descriptors for this one it says there should also be white grape, raspberry and redcurrant. Now, the power of suggestion is not to be underestimated but yes, looking for those elements, they are all there. The grape and raspberry more so. The combo with the light tropical fruits is unusual but tasty. Smooth finish. Nice Enigma showcase and very drinkable.

330ml can. Poured a hazy golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, light gluey, yeasty, light citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, light pepper spice, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Actually rather nice. It had that quality “small batch” feel about it.

440ml can. Poured a murky medium brown colour, with a thin off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, earthy, nutty, mineral, light chocolate, woody hop. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a slightly watery, light roasty, light floral, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not sure what happened to the “Tropical”.

3/4/2020. Can from The Tuppenny, Swindon as Cardamom & Rose Summer Stout (purchased 6/4/2019). Pours black with a beige head, which was quite short lasting. Aroma picks up nicely on the cardamom, lightly herbal and indian spiced with a little kaffir lime, light roasting, chocolate and floral notes. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with a light herbal tarty edge. Medium body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation. Worked for me.
