33cl bottle. Nice label once again. Pours near black with a thin but lasting brown head. Smooth roast, some ash. Light, screaming for more body and higher Abv. Chocolate, some mild coffee in flavor. Easy, allright, but too light.

Pikkalintu, Helsinki. Keg. Light haze on this gold - amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Thin malts, mildly sweet. Good marmalade hops with a modest amount of fresher orange. Light dry crisp finish, mild bitter linger. A bit tame but quite drinkable.

Aroma has buttery malt, some grassy hops and mild metallic tones. Also cereal. Flavour has cereal, grassy hops, some gooseberry bush and buttery malt. Also mild metallic notes. Straightforward and easy-going, quite typical German pils.

Smell of yeast, banana, hops, citrus. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, banana to begin with, also some pepper and overripe fruit later. Begins like a weizenbier, the Belgian style comes up in finish. Medium carbon, slightly viscous texture. Mid-heavy body.

Bottled 330ml (K-Supermarket City)
Dark, more or less opaque brown color, small brownish head. Dry coffeish toasted and a bit ashy. Unfortunately also some veggies lurking. Light-bodied. Coffeish and ashy porter. Clean with light hoppyness in the aftertaste. Same time way too watery.

Aroma is musty with metallic tones and some fruits. Also mild hayish and ashy notes. Flavour has ash, cold-ish coffee, some grapefruity hops and mild licorice tones. Low on CO2 and feels watery. Not bad but just a bit bland overall.

Smell of roasted malt, tar, ash. Very dark brown colour, dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, tar. Very bitter. Soft and rather flat carbon. Ashy dry texture. Light body, probably due to 4.5 ABV. Slightly too watery, otherwise balanced.

33 cl bottle @ Myyrmäki. Aroma has biscuits, toffee and mild floral tones. Feels sweet and Belgian. Perfume-like. Flavour has toffee, some gooseberry bush leaves, mild mineral tones and hints of grapefruit. Not bad but the aroma promised more.

330ml bottle from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti. Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasty, almost burnt malts, hints of coffee, lactic milky notes, ash and dark chocolate. Taste is smooth, slightly watery and roasty with hints of coffee, burnt notes, ash, hops and licorice. Finish is smooth, watery and slightly burnt with hints of roastiness, hops and coffee. Okay, but feels a bit thin. Could be great with a bit more body and strength.
