Amber color, cloudy. Spicy aroma, ginger and anis especially. Very herbal flavor, in which ginger, anis and kruidnagel dominate. Hint of pear fruit. Thin to medium bodied. Fairly well made, but I don’t like it.

Speculaas aroma Suagry. Some roasted malt. Grapes and apple. The alcohol remains unnoticed. Thin for the style, but I didn’t expect too much from this beer. The name itself is almost a contradiction. ("Little Thumb Imperial Russian Stout")

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Opague. Coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate and a hint of smoke in the aroma. Somewhat fizzy. Roasted flavor, sweetish with chocolate and coffee. Soft smoky finish. Almost full bodied. Alcoholic. One of the best of Klein Duimpje so far.
