On tap at Panimoravintola Bruuveri, Helsinki. Amber with an off-white head. Mild hoppy and fruity aroma with malt, peaches and a hint of citrus. Medium sweet and fruity with a pleasant bitterness. A bit weak in flavour, but quite nice. Medium body with a slightly soft carbonation . Lightly bitter aftertaste. Nice IPA! A brown beer with a weak and blond head. The nose is sweet and toffeeish, red berries. Quite simple, but nice aroma. Taste of sweet malts, toffee, some fruits, bitter herbs. The end is slightly alcoholic. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Simple, sweet and slightly alcoholic beer, quite OK.

Can (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, mild sweet malts as well as some starchlike strange sweetness. Flavour is sweetmalts, mild grains, some strange sweetness as well as mild metallic and herbal notes. Without the metallic notes the flavour would be rather nice.

Can @ sopp 2013. Clear goldeb, thin head. Tropical fruity aroma. Flavor has hops, fruits, cookies, sweetness. Finish is unfortunately quite harsh.

(Keg at SOPP’13, 20130725) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grain, strawberries and malts. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Afteraste was weak. A weakish pale lager.

hazy amber, thin head. fruity, nutty, solvent aroma. quite sharp, heavy. citrusy, fruity, malty, with same solvent notes in flavor. bitter finish. not sure what to think of this.

(Keg at SOPP’13, 20130725) The beer poured deep amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramell and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, fruitiness, herbalness, sweetnes and bitterness. Afteraste had solvent and bitterness. Yet another failed ale from Saimaa.

(Can, 0.5 l, at SOPP’13, 20130713) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma was weak and had fruitiness. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Afteraste was fruity and bitter. A weak but not bad tasting ale from a brewery that is not known for good ales.
