The De Bock Brewery will open its doors in the spring of 2018. The microbrewery with accompanying tasting room is an initiative of brew engineer Pieter De Bock. He started his brewing career as a production manager at Brouwerij Affligem. Since 2012 he has been the main brewer at Brouwerij Anders. But enough beer still flows through its veins for its own brewing project. That starts in 2015 with the launch of Remi Blond . The traditional specialty beer is immediately appreciated and grows into a popular regional product. Den Engel follows IPA as a second creation . With the opening of De Bock Brewery, Pieter adds a new chapter to this Bevers beer story

Bottle at home. Clear dark golden color, full sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, iron, metallic bitter, a slight sweetish hint, yeasty notes, bitter. Okay to decent body, firm carbonation. Hmm average at best.

A clear golden beer with a big white foam. Aroma of sweet breadish malt and cereals. Taste of sweet pale malt, cereals, bread and mild citrusy hops.

Lichtbruin vrij helder bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig en krachtig met iets van mango, wat citrus en een beetje hars. Erg goed.

Donker roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en krachtig met iets van chocolade, wat noten en karamel. Heel goed.

Oranjegeel bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en fruitig lichtzoet met iets van sinaasappel, wat banaan en een beetje vanille. Heel geslaagd.

A: hazy black, small, foamy, beige head.
A: tobacco, fondant, espresso, vanilla, prune.
T: sweet-sour prune, pear, vanilla, fudge.
F: herbal hops, wet tobacco, dried fruit, vanilla, warming brandy-like alcohol.
P: medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Rather messy but not bad.
