On nitro at brewery. Opaque black pour. Finger-high creamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma hints at coffee and chocolate. Flavor is more of the same. Added notes of cardamom and prunes. Soft and silky mouthfeel. Quite enjoyable.

590 ml bottle at Kitty O’Se’s in Killarney, County Kerry. Dark amber brown pour. Small tan head leaves stellar lacing. Toasted malt aroma. Sweet toasted malt flavor hints at toffee. Notes of citrus and pine linger on the supple palate. Nicely balanced.

(Bottle, 0.5l, thanks VastActiv, at VastActiv, 20240802) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, toffee and earth. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, malts, toffee, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Nice.
