Description
Located 22km from Bayonne, the new Brasserie du Pays Basque (opened in 2019) covers more than 3,000 m2, dedicated to brewing craft beer. In the maze of 7km of pipes, 3 master brewers are in charge of making Eguzki beers. Above all, great enthusiasts of their profession, they pursue research work to develop the beers of tomorrow.

Between 2001 and 2017 beers were not produced on site.

Well-carbonated to lightly yellow tinted good dense head; slightly orange tinted golden beer. Greenery, faint citrus and toasted aroma’s; old, soggy bread. Again citrus, faint grassy with pale malts finish, even a touch of honey. Light bodied, but not empty; quite carbonated feel. Middle-of-the-road pilsner, litte citrus touch is welcome.

Bottled. Golden colour, creamy head. Grassy aroma. Dry with rounded buttery maltiness. Fairly well hopped, good bitterness. A solid, pilsnerish lager.
