Tap at RB MKE. Unfiltered brown-orange body. Steady thin beige head. Smooth and rich, the is a solid doppelbock. Creamy, smooth malt tones with a touch of a pungent undercurrent. One of the most enjoyable Bocks I’ve had in some time, they nail i. Truly enjoyable, well executed.

Tap at RB Milwaukee. Hazy orange-brown. A little watery in the body, but the flavors are right on. Orange cherry vanilla, smooth malt body. The hops are pretty tame, but give it a nice subtle tropical edge. Malt centered, easy to session. Respectable enough offering.

Draft downtown MKE. Deep burgundy brown-black. Sweet rich sugary chocolate caramel aroma. A pretty nice Scottish Ale, some licorice tones. Mellow carbonation, not much, if any, hop character. Rich, sticky brown malt tones. OK. Interesting burnt toffee tones. Some faint orange in the finish. OK.

Sample downtown. Unfiltered orange-tan. Astringent, cooling hop aroma, nice. Citrus, tropical fruit tones. Frankly, this is better than 90% of the IPAs made in WI. Toasty golden malt backbone, aggressively hopped. maybe Summit hops? I really dig this one.

Draft downtown MKE. Unfiltered deep brown, stained-glass edges. Quite interesting. Maintains the qualities of a good Brown while tweaking the hop levels up a notch. Sugary molasses malt tones with an earthy, soapy hop balance. Well balanced. A pleasant beer, wish more were made in this style.

A mahoganny brown bock with a thin lacing moka head. A sweet dark fruit aroma of figs, sweet chocolate, and meaty notes. In mouth, dark fruits, oily mouthfeel, burned caramel, cloying, not my favorite. On tap at Rockfest April 25 2010

A reddish brown ale with a thin moka head. Aroma of licorice, prunes, butterscotch, alcohol. In mouth, a sweetish grainy ale with grassy hops, molasses, treacle, not bad, medium bodied. On tap at Rockfest, April 25 2010.

Draught. Drunk in Seattle, however Light-yellow; virtually no head. Bit buttery nose, pale malts and slightly grassy. Sweetish pilsener, pale malts, really not going on anything there. Bit fizzy despite little visual carbonation. Boring.
