Hazy dark amber color with brown hue; medium sized head. Aroma of caramel; the hops are quite fruity. Dry and lean mouthfeel; caramel flavor with a dusty accent; strong bitterness with some hop resins but not much fruity presence; it has some yeast character, and light final astringency.

Cloudy light amber color with medium sized compact head. Nice fruity aroma, sweet, a bit peachy and animal. Lean body, soft mouthfeel; malt flavor, not too strong; ordinary bitterness, less aggressive than most beers in the same category; the hops provide some resins and light fruitiness; also the residual sweetness is low.
Easy to drink, fresh, not complicated.

Bottle - Lots of pumpkin and nutmeg and a weird almost tomato like nose. Clear gold with a beige rich head. Lots of pumpkin and nutmeg. Very one sided and simple, could have had a bit more depth, but drinkable.

Draft - Orange and flowery hop aroma with a nice malt backbone. Clear gold with a thin head. Orange and resin with a decent malt sweetness. Nothing special but very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange amber with a medium white head. Aroma brings out a more malty backing, earthy hops, bready caramel malt. Flavour is similar, with more malt than hops, with earthy hops, some bready malt, and a touch of caramel. Dry on the palate, despite the maltier backing. Okay, but tiresome after a while.

Bottle - Sweet grapefruit and some nice tropical fruit. Clear amber with a thick off white head. Orange, malt and a tiny bit of resin. Nice bitterness, but it stays on the tongue for quite a while. A decent IIPA.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy deep orangey amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is very pungent, full of tropical fruits (mangos, pineapples and oranges), loads of citrusy resinous hops and a big caramel malt backbone. Flavour brings out loads of tropical fruits, particularly pineapple upfront, with citrusy resinous hops and a big caramel malt backing. Extremely fruity, without too much residual sugar from the malt despite it being prominent. Great stuff - easily Nelson's best beer to date.
