Seems a little underrated to me. Aroma is nice, spot on style with some dark chocolate and breakfast oats. Not quite a silky finish as the blurb says but a nice leave of chocolate bitter. Pours pitch black with good head and some lacing. Medium consistency. Bottle from BCLS.

Poured from a 355mL can. Deep mahogany brown colour with nice beige head. Roasted malts, brown sugar, slight hops. Would I buy it again? Probably.

341mL bottle, pours dark amber brown with a small off-white head - barely looks like a stout. Aroma of sweet chocolate, oats and some light roast. Flavour is simple, but pleasant, of some sweetened cocoa, oatmeal, and some roast. Very watery stout - one of the most thin I've encountered. The flavours are decent enough, if weak, but this is missing body. Not so good an attempt.

341mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of grassy / floral hops and some sweet malts. Flavour of sweet corn malts and grassy hops - tastes more like an American-style pale ale. Pretty standard affair.

341mL bottle, pours dark brown with a reddish tinge and a beige head. Aroma of light malts, some dark fruits and light cocoa - very weak. Flavour is quite muted, light roasted malt and subtle dark fruits. Lacks depth and robustness. Pretty weak.

Bottle, pours orangey amber with a small white head. Aroma and flavour is a great balance of caramel malts and citrusy hops. Almost no bitterness, but a slight hop bite that just overshadows the malt backing. Nicely done IPA.

355mL bottle, pours clear copper with a small head. Aroma is almost non-existent, pale malts and subtle hop balance. Flavour is a little more pronounced, with pale malts, grains, and hops on the finish. One might think an anniversary ale would warrant a more adventurous brew, but this is anything but. Very boring.

Bottle at Agro Café, Granville Island
Clear amber color; big head, frothy. Light caramel aroma. Good caramel flavor, nutty, with strong bitterness; lean body; the bitterness (also from roasted malt) in the end is a tad too much. More bitter than an English IPA, but not as fruity (at all) as American IPAs. Average.

A dark copper amber ale with an extra thcil onctuous off white head. Lightly malty with nice citrusy hops. In mouth, a classy little IPA with nutty notes, a nice sweetness, and good British hopping. Quite good. Thanks Cappy.

Lightly hazed amber ale with an extra thick off white head, gusher. However, a pleasant whaft of hops came out at the same time, followed by rather fruity, slightly chemical notes. In mouth, the very present hops cannot sustain the boiled sweetcorn notes/ cornsyrup notes, something is fishy about it. However, overall, this isnt has bad as some of the other BC beer tasted recently.
