Clear dark brown beer, big creamy beige irregular head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty spicy, lots of liquorice, some caramel, bit dusty, hint of mocha, aniseed. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: quite some liquorice, spicy, some aniseed, bit sweet but not too much, slightly hoppy. Aftertaste: some mocha, again the liquorice, little bitter, some burnt caramel. Pretty decent beer, maybe a bit over spiced.

33 cl. bottle @ ’t Antwaerps Bierhuyske poured into the quirky scotch-like Wilderen glass. Clear amber with a white head. Nose is sweet & candy-like with candy sugar, hay, touch floral & toffee, faint floral hops underneath the hops. Taste is sweetish, slightly metallic, candy sugar, sweet herbs, plenty of sugar, toffee, sweet brown sugar, light hops & candied fruits in the back. Touch lighter candy-like body. Okay & forgettable, sweeter, sugar-forward BE brew with slight off-notes.
