Bottle: Poured a reddish brown amber with a fluffy light brown head, but is fast dissapating. Sweet fruit aroma. Flavor was sweet fruit and candy malt.

Ratings from notes about six months old. I bought a 750 of this beer, and it was completely flat and flavorless, so I am not rating that, but I do believe this brewer may have problems with consistency. The flavor and aroma was very light for a Belgian saison. Minimal yeast, and not really sour at all. Flavor does have some light spice, but overall this saison is light on aroma, flavor, and the palate.

Bottle: Amber orange in color with a bubbly white head. The aroma is fruit. Taste was sweet caramel and malt.

Bottle Swing-top: Poured a dark black brown with a thick light brown head. The aroma was sweet metalic like with hints of roasted malt. Dark rich malt flavor that finished dry and coffee like. Very impressive!

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, reddish with a white head. Fruity, berry-like aroma. Medium body with dry accents of blackcurrant - but neither sour or stickingly sweet - just very dry. Quite a refreshing fruit beer. 050407

Bottle, 6.5%. Slow gusher. Sweet, fruity hop aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour, small white head. The flavour starts off fruity with good bitterness and a yeasty finish. High carbonation. A good beer, reminding me of IPA.

Bottled. Almost black in colour with strong roasted aroma. Sweetish flavour of chocolate, also some coffee notes. A dry finish. Very good [4.1]. Re-rate 1/3/10, bottle bought in Gent in 2008. This time around a caramel sweetness was more evident, as was a charred roastiness. I am not sure the two features entirely complemented one another, but still pleasant [3.7].

Fruchtiger, leicht hefiger, lecker hopfiger Geruch. Hopfiger Antrunk, leicht malziger Unterton. Würziger Mittelteil mit leichter Tendenz ins Süße, vor allem ist es hier aber wässrig. Im Nachgeschmack wird das Bier malziger und deutlich schwerer, lichtet sich dann aber merklich. Fruchtig ist das Bier ab und an auch, dies ist aber vernachlässigbar. Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a huge pure white foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of light sweet malt is slightly weaker then expected. Taste is a mix between some typical Belgian malt with some candi sugar and some very light spices. Above average body with some great carbonation and no alcohol was discernable. I thought this was slightly weak in general and would have appreciated a spicier character.
