Opaque and yellow. Thick head. Stone fruit hop nose. The palate, of course, has hop burn, maybe some stone fruit character. Modest bitterness. I mean, it tastes like every other Superflux beer. Maybe less chalky than usual, but maybe it's always less chalky from the can?

LCI. Citrus punch, bright, not the mouthfeel of the big ones

Definitely has a lactosey fluff note. Maybe not quite the hop to support it. Citrus

Poured from the tap @ Superflux. Opaque blonde gold with minimal white head. Ripe tropical fruit, a touch yeasty with some hop burn, but still drinkable. Okay.

Poured from the tap @ Superflux. Opaque blonde with minimal white head. Chalk bomb, muted citrus hops with a dose of hop burn. This is quintessential Superflux chalk. Waste of time, waste of money.

Poured from the tap @ Superflux. Hazy blonde with small white head. Citrus hops, feint hop burn, mild lactose-y marshmallow underlay helps soften the hop burn a bit.

473 ml can. Pours black with moderate fizzy tan head. Aromas of fruity black coffee, cola, root beer, and roasted malts. Flavors of chalky black coffee, a bit of cream, dry dark chocolate and sweet roasted malts.

Very dark, with a fairly thick head. A lot of artificial espresso pump aromas here - vanilla, marshmallow and arguably the chocolate is the most egregious. Given how easy it is to generate chocolate notes in a stout, that just seems lazy. On the palate, the chocolate character comes across slightly better. A little bit of richness from nibs, but still syrupy pump stuff. I'm sort of missing out on the rest of the smores package here, too. This is like the accountants got hold of the beer - make it 8% instead of 11.5% and use cheaper adjuncts. I get it. Not everybody is going to notice. But we notice.
