Bottle pours with a slightly hazy deep gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up flowery floral hops, pine hops and candy like malts. The taste delivers a big load of floral and pine like hops that hover above a modest degree of sweet maltiness. The malts grow and become somewhat distracting from the hoppy experience.

650ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Citrusy and piney, fruity hoppy aroma, grapefruit notes, hints of apricot. a slightly perfumed herbal touch, liquorice-like spiciness. Taste is initially piney and minimally soapy, herbal bitter hoppy, slightly citrusy, before space-taking rye spiciness relegates those flavours to the fringe. Very clean, a little incongruity between hops and rye.

Bottled. Ambery orange colour with a mediumsized off-white fluffy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, herbal and mild pine and resin as well. Flavour is quite similar, with a nice mellow toasted and ryebready edge to it. Not overdoing the rye, which makes this a quite enjoyable rye ipa.

Bottled (AbM). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some roast, mild burnt sugar and some syrup. Flavour is being quite similar in a rather sweet way, as the alcohol also gives it a slight kick. Ok, but then again quite simplistic.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Xmas Tasting. It pours clear amber with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, lemon – lime, peach, toasty, some grass, light herbal accents and a hint of fennel. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, toasty, straw, lemon – lime, peach, lemongrass, spice and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty clean and drinkable. Not bad.
