On tap at Beaver Brewing, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of piney hops, with light dankness and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with some tropical fruits, piney and citrusy hops, and biscuity malt. More tropical fruity than the average session IPA. Nicely made.

On tap at Beaver Brewing, pours a hazy golden with a small beige head. Nose brings out piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is fresh, with piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Rather potent on the hops for an APA. Nice stuff.

On tap at Beaver Brewing, pours a hazy copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out light bready malt and very subdued English hops. Flavour is very English, with light English hops, and English bready malt. True to style and with enough assertiveness to be interesting. Solid.

On tap at Beaver Brewing, pours a hazy golden with a medium beige head. Nose brings out fresh herbal and grassy hops, and a crisp crackery malt base. Flavour follows suit, again with fresh herbal and grassy hops, and straw. Fresh and clean. Nicely done.

On tap at Beaver Brewing, pours a hazy pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of cereal grains and lightly sweet straw. Flavour is pretty subdued, with light cereal grains and a hint of residual sugars. Clean enough but very uninteresting.

On tap at Beaver Brewing, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted nuts, bready malt and a bit of cocoa. Nice maltiness to this. A little more robust than your average dunkel. Decent.

Die Biere der Wiener Beaver Brewing Company werden bei BrauSchneider in Schiltern bei Krems gebraut, die 2018 von Bierpabst Conrad Seidl zur innovativsten Brauerei Österreichs gekührt wurden. Das "Great Lakes" ist wie alle Beaver-Biere nach amerikanischen Vorbild gebraut: Dieses ist ein klassisches amerikanisches Sommerbier mit frischen Hopfen- und Fruchtnoten. Ein wirklich gutes, nicht zu leichtes, aber erfrischendes Bier.

Sampled from tap at CBF Vienna 2018. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite resiny and moderately fruity aroma of pine, strawberry, some mango and a touch of grains. Quite sweet, malty, rather resiny and moderately fruity taste of lots of pine, mango, orange jam, some strawberry and a touch of grains, followed by a medium long, rather bitter, fairly resiny finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle. Hazy golden color with creamy white head. Aroma is black peppers, tropical fruits. Taste is juicy fruits, peppery, strawy yeasts. Silky mouthfeel with high, but soft carbonation. Tasty, but the hops are a bit too laidback.

Der Wiener Ableger der beaver brewing company (kurz BBC) füllt jetzt auch in Flaschen ab. Diese gibt es dann in diversen Bars zu kosten. Da die BBC eigentlich immer nur Batches von Biersorten herstellt, wundert es mich, dass am Ende des Winters ein Sommerbier herauskommt....aber gut... Das Bier ist ein relativ leicht gehopftes, angenehm zu trinkendes IPA, das perfekt zu einem heißen Sommerabend passt. Fruchtige Aromen und hopfige Frische -was will man mehr?
