About
Since 2011, Brouwers Verzet has been brewing its quirky beers in the installations of befriended brewers.
In March 2016, the name changed to Brewery 't Verzet and the beers were brewed in their own kettles in Anzegem, West Flanders.
Brewery 't Verzet stands for balanced beers with a twist.

Hazy orange color, almost no head. Not much smell and just slightly hop aroma. Smells and tastes more like a tripel. Carbo (too) high and medium body.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with an almost blond medium-sized foamy head. Belgian yeast-spicy aroma with slightly sour citric and lemony hoppy notes on a mildly malty background with traces of bubblegum. Slightly sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, medium bodied at most with a moderate carbonation. Rather slim malty taste with yeasty and fruity (lemon, tangerine) hoppy notes; medium-dry, sweet and slightly bitter and fruity hoppy finish. Not directly comparable to its US-brothers but nevertheless an interesting Belgian interpretation of the style. 14.VI.11

No head; veiled greenish-golden beer. Shampoo, hairdresser wash, grainy; slightly weird aromas. Dough, garden herbs, tarragon, speciality bread, toasted. Bitterish grain retronasal; as someting "Mediterranean" from an alternative foodshop. Medium bodied, refreshing despite low carbonation; no new aftertaste, but long-lasting main flavour. It’s not an IPA in my book. But it is a nice hoppy Be strong ale.

17/04/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 03/2013 (2011-153) Thanks to Felix for the bottle!

Cloudy pale yellow to murky light beige beer, creamy white head, solid and adhesive. Aroma: citrus, bit grassy and herbal, some candi sugar but very faint. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: dry and bitter hoppy, a bit sweet, malty, spices. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, some citrus and grapefruit notes, very dry mouth-feeling.
