Description
Brewed in Silchester and drawing inspiration from new world hops, Germany’s malts and beer styles from across the globe, we vow to make your drinking experience as enjoyable as our brewing.
The Brewery was taken over in early 2022. The new owner then bought Boss Brewing Company in Swansea. Boss went into liquidation, but restarted, and in 2023 Wild Weather closed the Silchester site and relocated to join Boss in Swansea.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Pours a hazy dark amber / brown colour with a lasting off white head, with good lacing. Aroma of biscuit, malt, hop, caramel, swet and citrus fruits. Medium sweetness, and medium bitterness, increasing. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish is dry, malty, bitter and slightly tart. Very nice.

Keg at Castle Tap Takeover, 14/01/17. Strawberry split lolly aroma. Slush puppy red. Thin creamy head. Initial sugary strawberry before the jelly sweet sourness kicks in. Medium bodied. Soft with some chalkyness. Long if not intense finish. I like.

Keg at Castle Tap Takeover, 14/01/17. Fragrant hippy hit. A Guinness ice cream soda - the head’s gone mental. Hints of bitterness behind a creamy malty front. Restrained but in a good way. Light. Soft. Short finish. Loved it, even though I didn’t get any IPA hoppyness.

Keg at Castle Tap Takeover, 14/01/17. Aroma is 50% fragrant and 50% dank cellar. Opaque amber. Thin white head around rim. Aspirin bitterness before grapefruit develops. Light. Chalky. Long finish. Interesting enough. Not getting the lime or coconut.

Keg at Castle Tap Takeover, 14/01/17. Vague grapefruit aroma. Opaque amber. Let’s itself down - no head. Initial intense bitterness. Smooth out into umami, the earl grey making itself known after the initial intense hops. Light. Slick. Short finish. Nice enough but the taste just seems unbalanced, the initial bitterness is nit needed.

Cask at Castle Tap Takeover, 14/01/17. Faintly malty aroma. Hazy chestnut. Thin but solid white head. Sweet and spices. The maltyness really comes through. Light bodied. Chalky. Long, slightly astringent, finish. Decent enough for a bitter.
