Description
Young Master Brewery was born out of a desire to brew distinctive, world-class beers locally for Hong Kong. With this project, our goal is to revive the craft brewing tradition in Hong Kong and bring the local drinking experience up a notch. Our beers are brewed fresh with the highest quality ingredients. We insist on preserving everything that’s good and natural about freshly brewed beer. To this end, we do not filter, pasteurize, or add artificial stabilizers or chemicals to our products simply to extend their shelf-life. We also use naturally produced carbon dioxide during fermentation and do not artificially carbonate. Our beer will be the freshest you can find in Hong Kong with the least distance traveled from grain to your glass.

A blonde Gose with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice classic fruity malt with acidity, light mineral notes, light ground cherry, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with tart cherry, light lemony notes, light Epsom salts, very nice and refreshing. On tap at Tap.

Bottle shared at Mechazilla. Thanks Brandon! Pours a hazy brown-rust color with a finger of soapy off-white head. Big sourdough bread aromas with some light oak notes. Creamy on the palate with average carbonation. Nice light sourness and chewy, bready malts. Well-balanced but lightly dry on the finish. Impressive for apparently Hong Kong’s first sour. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tai Sui (太歲) on 04 May 2016 at 23:00 - Score: 7

Draft at Brewdog. Hazy dull honey copper pour with minimal head. Aroma is big malty sourness in an unusual way. Taste follows. Like spicy sourdough bread. Very malty in a weird funky spicy way. Not my style but interesting - wouldn't get again.

Enjoyed on tap at Roundhouse Taproom in Hong Kong on the first night of arrival. Unfortunately I didn’t take tasting notes, remember this being a pretty decent red ale, nothing too crazy about it, but happy I was able to have something from this country!

(On tap) Clear pale gold, slight white head. Slight citrus aroma. Light body, medium carbonation. Taste is predominantly sour, mainly lines, there's hints of seaweed too (the salt I guess). Unusual, pleasant, refreshing, interesting, a little more restrained than the only other Gose I have tried. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The Ale Project. Fresh and smooth beginning. A bit perfumy, smooth but not too deep. Very mild with smooth perfumy-floral hints. no typical WitBier aroma, but very mild and smooth with a full body on a slightly malty but fresh basis. Nice and round and fresh thirst quenching!

On tap at the Ale Project, HK. Smooth malty-roasted beginning. Nice intense roasted malts with hints of smoke. Dried fruit on smoked viscous malt. Dark-Bock sweetness, but still dry, great depth with a nice bitterness. The smoke fits in great, the brew is round and roasted-smokey-thick. Nice!
