Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pumpkin, honey, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, allspice, vanilla, cream, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of herbal, floral, wood, grass, peppercorn, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready malts, pumpkin, pumpkin spice, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of big pumpkin, honey, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, allspice, vanilla, cream, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of herbal, floral, wood, grass, peppercorn, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and ginger/cinnamon/clove spiciness on the finish. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malts, pumpkin, pumpkin spice, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Light-medium carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an awesome pumpkin ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malts, pumpkin, pumpkin spice, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; awesomely soft feel for the style. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, pumpkin, and spice flavors; with solid earthy hops. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, vanilla, rye whiskey, toasted oak, roasted nuts, biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/black/roast/bready malts, rye whiskey barrels, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness and whiskey/oak spiciness. Light carbonation and super full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready and lightly slick/sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mild increasing warmth of 111%, with no lingering barrel booze after the finish. Overall this is an amazing barrel aged Russian imperial stout. All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, rye whiskey barrels, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/charred/tannic/drying finish; amazingly soft/silky feel for the ABV. Perfectly balanced between super rich malts and rye whiskey barrel presence/integration; with mild earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly amazing offering, and top tier quality style example. Their best beer yet.

Taste of big honey, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with light notes of caramel, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of honey, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, caramel, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a whole. Awesome robustness and complexity of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying sweetness after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is a delicious marzen. All around nice robustness and complexity of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; awesome soft/silky feel. Draft at Rustic Leaf. Pours a clear straw gold with a full finger of white foam that lingers. Crackery malt nose with light grain, grass and faint lemon. Grain husk, pepper and light herbal notes on the palate. Super crushable and very approachable. A touch high in abv, but nice stuff.
