On tap at the brewpub.
Poured into a tulip.
Appearance: pure black in the glass, thin eggshell white cap of a head. Dissipated slowly inward and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: dark chocolate, cocoa powder, some coffee roastiness, some coffee sweetness, light vanilla
Flavor: leans closer to the roasty side but light doses of sweetness and subtle bitterness from the dark chocolate; finishes with the dark chocolate and coffee sweetness
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, semi-dry along the tongue
Overall: I'd say a pretty good imperial stout I could come back to.

Bottle to chalice.
Appearance: soft golden yellow with a finger's worth of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: mellow banana, Belgian yeasty spiciness, some freshly cut grass, mild citrusy tones, subtle pine and biscuity malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together fairly nice with a light aftertaste of some Belgian yeasty spiciness and light bananas
Texture: between light and medium bodied, between being sessionable and being a sipper; light smoothness on the tongue but nothing impressionable; finishes with the Belgian yeasty spiciness and bananas
Overall: I feel like there's something good here but seems to not have that extra "oomph" it needs to get where Adirondack could have it be.

Can (Best By 11/5/25) from Oliver's Beverage Center, Albany. Cloudy, dark yellow, nice sparkle, large head with excellent retention, soapy rings of lacing. Aroma is strong citrus, tangerine, milder cinnamon apple. Taste leads with malt, followed by mild berries, tangerine and citrus. Smooth, frothy texture, medium bodied, average carbonation and mostly malty finish. Overly malty given still a few weeks away from Best By date.

12 oz bottle from Halftime. Skunked or just not that great? Pale golden pour, one finger head. Papery aroma. Taste follows with some somewhat oxidized notes, sharp, tangy, more wet paper. Lemons.
