You know it's a fail when it's called Cripy One yet it's not crispy. Pours golden with ok head and lacing. Cloying kind of sweetness on the finish. Can.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear dark ruby color with a small beige head and decent retention. A few spots of lacing. Dark malt and chocolate aroma. Sweet, dark roasted malt flavor, toffee, and only faint chocolate notes. No coffee notes. Super clean and smooth. Very chuggable. Medium-light body and medium-light carbonation too. No bitterness. A little different than your typical Schwarzbier, but I like it.

One of my pickups at the Total Wine in Cedar Park, TX, I have enjoyed beers from 903 before and it is an imperial stout. The pour from a 12 oz can to a globe glass is just one shade this side of totally black finished by a spare amount of silvery tan foam. I smell lots of sweet chocolate, almonds and grain. The taste and sensation are improvements over the scent. Sweet dark chocolate, caramel, strawberries, coffee cake and vanilla. Hard for me to say but more sweetness than I like. Pastry stouts walk a thin line of too much.

Poured up on tap at tipsy where it exhibits a deep dark chocolate colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The full aroma offers up sweetened dark roasted malts, some coffee, a cream lactose like sensation and then firm inviting vanilla notes. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet vanilla and molasses infused dark roasted malts and dark roasted coffee with a edge of sweet nuttiness. To midway creamy lactose and growing vanilla deepness draw the experience into the after taste. Solid rich sipper.

Pint can pours with a clear copper mahogany colored body that supports a lasting tan head of foam. The aroma offers up molasses and brown sugar flowing into pumpkin pie like notes and cinnamon. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet malts quickly leading to smooth slick molasses rounded out by a bit of brown sugar. To midway mild notes of pumpkin pie bleed into smooth soft modestly boozy bourbon. Nice sipper.
