From my backlog. On tap @ L’Europe. Hazy golden colour with a white head with nice lacework and good lasting. Aroma is malty with notes of cookies and marzipan, light fruity with spiced notes. Flavor is sweet, not cloying, good maltiness, mild bittery in the aftertaste. Dense sensation with sweet notes on palate.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of spices, brettanomyces, straw, and citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemons, straw, and a bit of brettanomyces, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, pale yellow with a dense, white head. Lovely funky, farty aroma. Light body, dry fruit and yeast with an amazing funkiness, heavy Brett here. Not sure if the Brett is intentional, but it works amazing! Ends dry but without any real bitterness. Almost a mini-Orval! 161113

Bouteille: Mid-sized off-white head, amber - surprise - coloured, hazy lots of floaties visible, moderate caramelly, maybe a bit vinous, too, nose with a modest hoppy background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; tarter and drier dark-malty and bitter finish. O.K. …

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark amber coloured hue with loads of ugly floaties and a short murky foamy head. Fruity hoppy and spicy aroma with notes apricots and citrus, accompanied by toasted and slightly perfumed malt. Sweet flavour, quite full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mildly dark malty, moderately fruity taste with notes of apricots; spicy and mildly herbal accents towards the sweet and mildly bitter finish. Ugly looking but quite rounded brew. 30.IX.13

Belgian blond beer that leans towards an IPA. Sweetish and spicey, with some extra hops.

Bottle from ABC Leuven. Nice hoppy nose, lemon, orange peel, biscuits, spicy, slightly funky yeast. Nice glowing gold color with a high, fine, pillowy head. Somewhat sweet lemon-orange flavor, grassy, hay, bread, nice hops. Nicely crisp and bitter without being overly so. Crisp, light palate. This is very drinkable, and the way I like hoppy Belgian ales—not too malty, not trying to be an IPA, not sweet, just a great hoppy blonde. Very Belgian, and done right. The oats seem to smooth it out well. I could drink this forever.

Bottled @ Boelekewis, large sample. Slight hazy golden color, huge rocky white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, bit peppery, bit flowery hops. Bit dry in taste, soft bitterness, bit spicy. Again, decent balance on the belgoo line of beers.
