16oz can pours a cola brown with some frothy, off white head. Nose is earthy, soil, dark bread crust, tootsie roll, caramel. Flavor has malt, dark bread, soil, tootsie roll. A little coffee here. Finishes dry. Nice. 7 4 7 4 14

Canned January 2019. This is the Mosaic, Amarillo and Azacca hop batch. Flavor has nice dry floral, hops with a strong grassy, herbal tang. Some floral and grassy bitterness in the finish. Feel is soft on the palate. Effervescent and well made.

Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, soda powder, hay, minerals, fruit salt, sorrel, flowers, yeast, paper, oak, bark, barnyard, sour fruits. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, soda powder, sorrel, hay, flowers, minerals, fruit salt, yeast, citrus, oak, grass, sour pears. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough, kind of boring.

Batch 1. Aroma is dark fruit, chocolate, and licorice. Star anise and dark fruit is a huge flavor element in the stout. Layered malts gives plenty of nuances. Alcohol is completely hidden. Finish is lightly lingering dark fruit with a dry texture. Extremely enjoyable for a non-barrel aged stout.
