Description
It all started with a humble homebrew kit and the drive to make better beer. Tired of the same bland and dated choices everywhere, Air Force friends Eric Wallace and Dick Doore set out to make the kind of beer that excited them; beer they wanted to drink. A hobby quickly became an obsession and it wasn't long before Left Hand Brewing opened for business on January 22, 1994. Left Hand has steadily increased its production, making the Brewers Association’s Top 50 Craft Brewers list in 2012.

Bottle/Fest. A- Coriander. A- Pale yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Coriander, watery. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, unbalanced finish. O- This was overloaded with the coriander and the orange barely peeked through. The nitro serves so purpose and would be a much improved beer without it.

16oz can. Nitro really doesn't work here at all. Tastes like foam. Faded, distant flavors, I don't really get any mango or guava. Bland, sweet, mild. Different. Not good.

35cl Fles van Beer Republic. Zwarte kleur, nitro beige kraag. Vloeibare Snickers, pinda, mekchocolade en wat caramel, licht gebrand, vrij zoet, tikje kunstmatig maar toch best lekker stiekem. Zacht en romig mondgevoel.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma of caramel, flowers, dried fruit and yeast. Pours clear golden color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts sweet malty with dried fruity note, following is yeasty, a bit sulphury and grassy, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is average bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. St. boozy ale…

Bottle pour. Opaque dark brown with thin head, trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted peanuts, chocolate. Taste is peanuts, somewhat odd cherry flavor, and milk chocolate. Smooth, creamy texture (as you'd expect), soft carbonation and finish as taste. Good peanut quality in aroma and flavor but a strange cherry flavor in there, too. Nitro head not present from bottle--if you're going to go nitro go on draft or they should at least do can with widget--but palate is great. Decent overall.

12 oz bottle shared by tfontana. Thank you Tom! Aroma has a bolder peanut butter and mild chocolate. Flavor follows with light lactose in the finish. Medium bodied. With peanut butter and lactose that lingers slightly.

Can drunk preparing for vacation. Golden, light hazy. Biscuity malt nose with bright hop overtones and Belgian yeast esters. Flavor is pretty sweet and caramel, not too complex. Label indicates dextrose, who thought this needed to be sweeter ;) well, it's alright.
