(from the tap at Wenkers in Dortmund) Hazy golden colour with a mid-sized, slightly yellow and stable foam. Sweet malty, bready aroma with herbal hops in the background. Sweetbitter flavour, medium body, smooth carbonation. Moderately sweet malty, slightly toasty taste; medium dry, quite bitter and hoppy, slightly herbal, slightly fruity finish. Reminds me a bit of the Hövels Maibock. Quaffable.

(from the tap at Wenkers in Dortmund) Black coloured hue with a short and diminishing slightly off-white head. Quite complex aroma of roasted malt with caramel, notes of coffee, combined with a touch of dried fruits and herbal hops. Bitter flavour, medium bodied, well-carbonated mouthfeel. Dry dark malty and roasty taste with caramel and liquorice; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with a malty and slightly fruity aftertaste. This one is much better than the Urtrüb and very quaffable.

(from the tap at Wenkers in Dortmund) Cloudy and hazy, light golden coloured with a foamy white medium head. Dusty and slightly sweet malty and yeasty aroma, also a bit skunky with shy hints of herbal hops. Light-sweet, slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied, low carbonated mouthfeel. Malty taste, almost watery palate, sweetbitter, low-hoped and yeasty finish. Not so exciting brew.

On tap: Hazy, light amber coloured, thin lacing off-white head; sweet malty nose with a very faint touch of toasted malt; very sweet, cloying flavour, umbels hardly detectable, sticky, quite full bodied; sweet grainy, a bit fruity finish. Gulp, an almost undrinkable, monotonous Bock.......
