The beer starts smooth and dark. Probably a bit too sweetish, lots of carbonation. The mainpart is dark, caramel, but neither deep nor complex. In the aftertaste a bit sticky, hints of roast.

(bottle, 33cl) Almost clear, amber to copper colour with a short off-white foamy head. Piney and moderately fruity hoppy aroma with notes of berries, citrus, accompanied by a cara-malty touch. Moderately bitter and delicately sour flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly juicy malty taste with fruity, piney and delicately woody hops; slightly bitter and minimally sour finish with woody notes and traces of liquorice and cough syrup in the aftertaste. 03.III.14

Bottle( thanx to Jonas!): Deep golden, clear with a smaller lacy off-white head, moderate herbal-piney nose with both a tinge of alcohol and cough syrup; moderate bitter-sweet flavour and medium bodied, not too dry; a touch of cough syrup is showing up again in the lingering liquoricey and hoppy finish. Good, but not totally convincing…

Clear deep amber. Flavor has some sweetish malt, a bit caramelly, and some stale piney hops. Too sweet, not bitter enough and not fresh enough.

Bottle. Clear copper, white lace. Caramelized peach and dusty lemon aroma. Medium butterscotch base, slightly resinny fruity hop notes, grapefruit, pickled lemon, lychee. Quick finish.

bottle from kappldav123! Amber colour, mid-sized off-white head. Full-bodied, malty start with lots of hops tuning in, slightly grassy and resiny, also with a shy touch of citrus fruits.

Süß hopfiger, wenig alkoholischer Antrunk mit trockener Herbe. Im Mittelteil nimmt der Hopfen bereits etwas ab, die Karbonisierung ist etwas zu stark. Die Herbe bleibt genau wie leicht blumige Noten, insgesamt wirkt das Bier milder aber auch harmonischer als im Antrunk. Weich herber Abgang, in dem der Hopfen nur hintergründig ist. 8/9/8/8/11/9

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty nose with dark bread, caramel, a touch of chocolate and brown sugar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of caramel, chocolate, raisins, brown sugar, dark bread and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and fairly well balanced doppelbock, but possibly not the most interesting in the style. Quite enjoyable.

Flaska från SB. Mörkt gyllengul och disig, men inget högt skum som andra verkar ha haft. Doft av jäst, örter, säd och smör. Smaken är söt och maltig och saknar fräschör. Lätt beska och liten örtighet balanserat de söta men annars fina maltsmakerna lite, men inte tillräckligt.
