Description
Already in 1630 a brewhouse was founded on the main square in Pfaffenhofen. The oldest Pfaffenhofen miller (ancestor of the brewing family) is mentioned in official documnts from 1776 and 1779.

Through constant expansion and quality-oriented production, the former brewhouse and later house brewery became a growing and respected brewery over the generations, which has had a significant influence on the cityscape of Pfaffenhofen since then.

Bottle. Strong whiff of bittering hops on pouring, grainy malt underlying that. Cloudy yellow, lacing white head. Chewy malt base, light fruit, good hop balance. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, sparkly in the back of the mouth. Partyinterpretation of a Keller, but still decent.

Bottle (excavated by joss !) Golden coloured, medium-sized fluffy head; honey, sweet-malt and distinctive hops in the aroma; moderate sweet flavour, medium bodied; balanced bitter-sweet finish. A well rounded Festbier, a pleasure.........

Bottle. Dark golden, foamy unstable head. Malty and fat herbal hop aroma. Chewy, light sweet malt body accentuated with a good broad hop profile. Light sparkly mouthfeel, exits on a aromatic hop note.

Hayish, grassy and sponge aroma. Golden, champagne bubbbles, head stability could be better. Rather bland hayish malt taste, with a bit of bitterhop frosting. Light to medium body, fizzing mouthfeel and dry exit. Spomewhat sticky bready aftertaste.

Definetly one of the better low alcohol/calory lagers I have tried: Pale and heavily carbonated, but with a nice rocky head. The carboard in the nose is very effectively masked with a good load of bitter and aromahops, likewise is the taste dominated by hops. Body is fuller than expected. Really nice brew actually.

Apple nose, some clove. Almost a kristall - not many clouds - bad head. Tastes like a fruitbasket: Mainly apples and bananas - and some green wood. Fair aftertaste. A tad more refreshing than the usual bready weissbier - I imagine it is very good in the summer.

Yeast and clove aroma, some sourness. Cloudy golden/red, ok head. Wellrounded, a pleasant tourist ride around all the usual Weissbier tastenotes. Fast exit.

Utterly aromaless Pale golden, large head. A bit grassy tastenotes, but not much to go around.
