Bottles from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear ruby/brown body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of toffee, candy apple and a hint of black pepper. Flavour of caramel, herbs, sweet tea and treacle. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A quality doppelbock with a nice herbal edge.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks simple and old styled. Beer in the glass with a small head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Light metallical touch. Shy bitter background. Finish well balanced. Quite drinkable. Not bad.
