Tap at the Golden Coins Taproom. Poured a very slightly hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, vanilla, floral hop. The flavour is grainy, herbal, aniseed with a smooth, creamy, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at the Golden Coins, Ekkamai Taproom, Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a short-lived fizzy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, toffee, fudge, light citrus fruit hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a woody, hop, fruity, light alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. For the ABV, this is a smooth fruity beer, with the alcohol well hidden and zero burn. The aroma is superb but the enjoyment dies away the further into the palate you go. It's a very decent beer, but part of me doubts that it's actually 8.5%.

Draft at the Golden Coins Taproom, Bangkok. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is light grainy caramel malt, cardboard, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light, watery, light soapy dishwater hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. No backbone at all and lacking real defining flavours.

On tap at Golden Coins, pours black with a large light brown head. Aroma brings out lots of soft cocoa, hazelnuts and some milkiness. Flavour brings out a wonderfully smooth mix of dark chocolate and hazelnut. Creamy mouthfeel, with a wonderful smoothness. Excellent.

On tap at Golden Coins, pours an opaque dark orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out light diacetyl, piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is very malty, with piney hops, wood, resinous hops, and caramel malt. Too malty and dirty for me, but it's decent.

On tap at Golden Coins, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, light citrus and biscuity malt. Stronger than the average pale and nicely balanced. Solid.

On tap at Golden Coins, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is similar, bringing out floral hops, some dry hopping and biscuity malt. Much more floral than the Yaowarat. Solid.

On tap at Golden Coins, pours a cloudy amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out light orange peel and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt and a touch of citric orange peel. Pleasant enough, but nothing special.
