Točené (Šalanda, Praha, Hlavní nadráží): Deep golden, cloudy, lacy white head, mild grainy-bitter nose with fruity traces of yeast; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied and a bit fizzy; lingering bitter-sweet finish. Not too bad, but has unfortunately got more a German than a Bohemian taste...

Tap at Šalanda, Prague Central. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is bready, a bit farty yeast, quite juicy, a touch noble hops. Taste is bready, a bit farty yeast, pale malts, juicy, bitter leafy finish. Juicy mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Quite alright, I expected worse from a main train station beer.

500ml can from a Kuala Lumpur convenience store, like anyone is going to drink a whole 500ml! Poured a clear golden colour with a very short-lived fizzy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, boozy alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth, super sweet sugary malt, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate and a long burning alcoholic finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Truly awful. I really don’t know what or who is generating the market for these types of beers.

Tap at Usedlost Ladronka. Hah, so this IS a new rate. Misty orange body with a lasting off-white head. Dull malty, lightly flowery aroma. Taste... malty, full graininess, light cardboard, slightly lean, herbal notes raising it from the muck. Ordinary and a bit rough. You can do worse, you can do much, much better. Meh.

Draught @ Šalanda, Prague Central. Pours cloudy amber with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast with mild hoppy notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of yeast and malt. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Not bad but rather anonymous.

Sampled from a can this beer poured a vibrant dark amber color with a medium sized creamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy, yeasty and a bit skunky. The flavor was tangy and yeasty with artifical grape, a bit of skunkiness and some astringency. Long finish. Medium bodied and smooth.
