On tap at Plachetnice, Pilsen: Golden, hazy, quite stable "dirty" foam, fruity (apples) nose with some faint hoppy influences, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, soft MF, light bodied, moderate bitter-malty, almost caramelly finish. Not so bland as the rest of the Krusovice beers.......

0.5 l can. Pours dark brown body with quite thick light brown head. Nice aroma of coffee malt some caramel, too. Flavor is quite flat, too watery with coffee again. There is also notable bitterness, which shows up in quite bitter finish. Too thin generally, this beer is disappointing, although not bad.

0.5 l can. Pours deep golden to orange body with pretty large ebony head. Strong aroma of citrus hops, with some pale grainy malts. Flavor bit bitter, but fine for pilsener, not so full, but not either too watery. With oily texture and quite lot carbonation leaves pleasantly long finish, not bitter at all. Good pilsener, of course, still does not outstand other Bohemians.

Soy sauce and cherry aroma. Cola colored with absolutely no head. Taste is dry, lightly sour with some wood and nut notes, of very little strength. Pretty enjoyable moss finish with hints of cherry. Similar to an english brown ale.

Medium white head doesn’t last. Clear deep yellow body with light carbonation. Light mealy aroma with fruity rubbery notes. Dry-sweet mealy fruity taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish fruity mealy herbal aftertaste with spicy notes. Not that much going on, but a clean and easy-drinking beer with no obvious flaws. (0.5l can from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

.5 liter bottle, "Born by" 9 Nov 06. A little long for this to be on a shelf, but that’s the risk. Light smell of schwarz malt when opened. Deep brown/black body, wavy tan head. Taste kind of like a homebrew version of a schwarz: a bit grainier and more astringent than, say, the Sprecher, but again I can put that to age. Some sourness, then notes of coffee. Dries off like a stout. Finishes with a bit of rauch. Mouthfeel is kind of thin and watery. Another one I’ll have to catch fresh if I ever can.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Deep brown with a long-lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted grain with a touch of toffee. Flavour was less pronounced but there was coffee and dried fruit with a dry finish. Very smooth to drink, this was enjoyable.

500ml bottle - Pours clear gold with a two finger, rapidly fading head. The aroma is corn and malts and is mild. It has a malt and bread taste with mild hops presence. It was fairly smooth and refreshing, but also quite thin and not all that great.
