Bottle from Loblaws. Hazy orange body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of crushed tomatoes, pine, bubblegum and grass. Flavour of minty hops, melon and grapefruit zest. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Massively hopped.
Earlier Rating: 3/5/2013 Total Score: 3.4
Aroma: Bubblegum, pineapple and Fruit Salad sweets.

Appearance: Hazy copper body with a medium off-white head. Very light carbonation. Nice lacing.

Taste: Very sharp bitterness - you can taste each one of those 85 IBUs. Caramel malt, lemon, grapefruit and pineapple.

Palate: Thin to medium body with a very oily texture. Disappointingly flat carbonation.

Overall: As with Innocente’s Bystander, this is a hop bomb. Although it’s a bit thin and flat, it’s packed full of fruity hop flavours. Pretty good.

Did not like their Waterloo 1815 last night, so hope this one will be better. Pours a slightly hazed, light golden-amber colour with a nice warm cap that stays a while, leaving some foamy lacing. Nice aromas of grapefruits and other citrus, with some grass notes. Some caramel malts. A little creaminess in the mouthfeel, with some tart. The taste is not as hoppy, not as fruity as the nose gives it to be, but some decent bitterness shows up in the aftertaste. Hints of caramel are present as well. This is a much better brew. A good American Pale ale at 4.7% with 50 IBU.

Pours a hazy light amber colour with a warm cap, foamy lacing and average retention. Spicy aromas with hoppy notes and some hints of fruits. The taste has some light sourness, rusty water over mild malts, rye. Not sure if just a bad batch from the hints of sour infection. Thin, unbalanced and not doing much for me.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy orangey color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit and floral citrusy notes is pretty awesome. Taste is not as big as I was expecting on fruity tropical fruit ester with some citrusy malt notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Hops flavours was really big on aroma but seems to be not as dominant in the taste which is a shame.

A dark brown porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet caramel chocolate malt with light coffee notes, grassy hops, light mineral notes, nice. In mouth, chocolate malt with light nutty caramel notes, light popcorn, a nice porter. Bottle from LCBO Westboro.

Bottled on 02 12 15, written on back label. Pours a dark brown colour with ruby highlights. Frothy-creamy beige head with good retention and great creamy lacing. Beautiful roasted malt aromas with nutty notes and some coffee, caramel. Watery mouthfeel with some flavours of roasted malts, hops in the middle, hints of dark fruits. The bitterness is well-balanced. The charcoal feel is from the burnt malts, that lingers.

Bottle from the brewery. Very slightly hazy pale gold with a small white head that is gone quickly and little lacing. Nose is some muted malt, fruit and spice. Light sweet bready toffee under a medium light bitterness and a nice rye spice. Mouth is medium light with average carbonation and a long dry finish. Appearance and mouth were both better on the sample on tap at the brewery.

Bottle from the brewery. Clear medium amber with a small white head that recedes to a sheet leaving some sparse lace. Light toffee underneath a medium citrus nose along with some pine and floral notes. Taste follow with light sweet honey and toffee supporting a medium bitter middle and long finish. Body is medium light and slightly chewy with average carbonation. Nice, if a tad thin.
