Bottle at Loch Ness Inn, Drumnadrochit. It pours clear deep reddish - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, brown bread, brandy balls, tangy cola, caramel, umami and malt loaf. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, cola, caramel, earthy, toothy, brown bread, light umami, burnt brown bread toast and leather with a drying finish. Average body and fine carbonation. A pretty run of the mill red ale, but it drinks fine.
