330ml bottle from Aldi. Clear, pinkish brown with very little head. Sweet smoke aroma, with spruce notes. Flavour is light, sweet with hints of apple and vanilla and a woody finish. I expected a lot more peat and spruce tbh, but it's decent enough

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately dark malty aroma with Whisky BA support, hints of dark chocolate, couverture, some toffee, slightly penetrative alcoholic Whisky overtones. Taste is roasty and chocolately, dark malty, some Whisky support. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, soft to flat carbonation. Rather simple and monotonous for an Impy Stout.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark golden - light amber color, close to white foam. Aroma: mild peat shades, light creosote, plastic, a little iodine and green apples, a little spruce needles. Taste: sweetish, malty, moderate smoked, a little ash from peat, a bit Islay whisky with apple juice, candy, spicy, need more spruce and whisky!

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Danny, 25/07/18. Very lightly hazed yellow orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is spruce, barrel notes, stewed fruits, grains. Taste comprises toasted grains, peppery spice, light barrel, herbal notes, grassy, fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Pretty pap when you consider the ABV ... offers little.

Bottle shared in London - cheers. Pours clear honey-gold with a bubbly white head. Strong smoke, peat, pale bread, maybe strawberry, dough. Light to medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Strong smokey finish, more peat, white grape, simple sugar, pale bread. Not bad.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet piney spruce. Orangey mid, slighty candy. Back end is mild Islay Smokey whiskey, quite fruity. Lighy semi dry finish. What a weird concoction, don't hate it though.
