Bottled (PBF). Dark nut brown color, small beige head. Nutty, caramelly aroma. Grassy hoppy, dry but kind of caramelly flavor, some dark bready, hops, alcohol. Nice bitter aftertaste. Interesting JA beer.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Hazy amber color with a temporary beige head. The primary aroma reminds of Dutch tobacco. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavors waft away. Light malt. Something like kola. Extremely pleasant. Relatively light. A lot of presence. Sort of unsweet brown sugar. Unique describes it.

Deep red with a tan head. Floral, pine, light herbal, and some grapefruit. Dry, bitter finish. Hoppy, west coast style amber.

Draught at the 2009 Central Japan Craft Beer Party. Nice tan head, thick and fine, with deep amber color. Aroma of caramel, spice, roasted malts. Bitter flavor from spices, chocolate, a bit burnt, tasting much like Chinese medicine. Interesting but I don’t much like it.

Draught at the 2009 Central Japan Craft Beer Party. Medium copper color. Sweetish, caramel aroma with some fruits: cherry and apple. Good bitter hop flavor, light malt, minderal, slightly watery. Lots of citrus. More like a West Coast PA. Ok but a bit disappointing, especially in the malt department. Amber is not there.

Light orange in color with a white head. Sweet malts, highly floral, light citrus, and some grass in the aroma. Full bodied for a pale. Greeted with a surprising lack of hops in the flavor. What is there is floral, light citrus, and some herbal hops. Sweet malts are rather evident. The hops finally show through in the finish with a slightly dry bitterness. A decent APA, but I was hoping for more with a name of the triple hops...

Dark reddish brown color. Molasses, Belgian Candy sugar and sweet maltiness exude from the nose. The mouth is much more herbally that has an odd mix with the molasses and chocolate flavors. Sugar cane lingers in the finish, but this is kinda like liking a pine tree. More of a Christmas beer than anything.

Draught at Popeye, Tokyo. Near black, creamy beige head. Light herbal spices fight an uphill battle against molasses. Fairly sweet with cottony softness caressing a hard crystallic heart. Above medium bodied where herbs and caramel brings some warmth. Fairly low bitterness.
