Draught at the Keyaki Hiroba Autumn Festival 2012. Cloudy peach-orange color with frothy lace. Sorachi Ace nose, wood, oak, peaches, warm baked bread. Soft Sorachi flavor, bready malts, butter, oak, very bitter finish. Very nice stuff. Works well.

Draught at Tadg’s. Cloudy golden, nice head. Aroma of honey, lemon, tropicl fruits, mainly pineapple, and a touch of funk. Interesting flavor. Starts out like pinapple juice, and is about to get amazingly sweet, it seems, when it is dried out with a big of funk. Yeast works like a funky saison or Biere de Garde. Still very fruity, tropical. The dirty yeast character balances the sweet fruit pretty well. A bit strange, but I think it works.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a small whit ehead. Has a fruity spicy peppery citrus aroma. Fruity malty spicy citrus flavor with hints of lime and apple. Has a fruity malty spicy citrus finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white hazy. Fruity, sweet citric and toasted malty. Sweet, citric fruity and crisp. Light bitter finish.

Hazy chesnut brown beer. Frothy off white head. Light frothy palate with a little carbonated nip. Trace of apple leads to mild toffee malt. Finishes dry and crisp with a little hop bitterness. Needs something more!

Draught at the Kyoto craft Beer Festival, 2012. Nice tart fruit flavor, cherry, berry, light malt, grassy NS hops. Nice tang. Refreshing with good balance and very drinkable, but not too beerlike…

Draught at Tadg’s. Nice, clear, glowing copper color with a thick head. Good cascade-like nose. Flavor is caramel malt, strong bitterness, light C. hop flavors. Big bitterness is decent, but not much hop flavor to support it. Very drinkable.

Draught at Tadg’s. Medium copper with a fine, low head. Weizen nose with banana, clove, apples. Sweet fruit and spice flavor, lots of banana. Soft carbonations, with a light tang and some pepper. Interesting but a bit too sweet.

Draught at Tadg’s. Bronze with a low head. Hoppy, citrus, pepper nose. A bit earthy. Earthy hop flavor, great citrus, wonderful bitterness level. Fruity, earthy, peppery, with nice sweet jammy fruits. The best new beer by them in a year, and much nicer to me then the original Mellow Wheat, as the dry hopping here balances the sweetness very nicely. Right on!

solid backbone, decent bitterness. Well rounded, but not that exciting. Its a non-brainer PA that delivers something that is great to drink when you are with non-beer geek friends or a non-beer place, like a great rock club.
