Draught at Tadg’s. Lovely red-brown color with low head. Nose or caramel, raisins, plums. Tasty caramel flavor with dried fruit, nice bitterness, berries. Decent, good malt character, good hop bitterness too, yet gets a bit tiring through the pint.

Draught at Tadg’s. Deep copper with a fine head. Fresh American hop nose, probably Cascade… Huge bitterness—long and raunchy. Smooth and full body, light caramel, grass and citrus. Nice, with good balance. Can’t really tell how much stronger it is. It has more body, and way more hoop bitterness, but not much more malt flavor than the regular. Just a light sweetness in the background on massive bitterness. Good, though the regular pale ale, dry hopped in the cask, is better. They should try that method of serving with this one.

Cask at Q-Brick. Pitch black with a fine, tan head. Big yuzu nose, with light chocolate and coffee and a touch of licorice, but the mostly yuzu. Tasty. Lovely yuzu blends very well with the dry, coffee-chocolate flavor of the stout. Just enough sweetness. Refreshing and crisp, with a good bitter finish. Works much better than expected.

Draught at Tadg’s. Citrus nose—clean and subdued. Light malt flavor with citrus and a bit of honey, minerals, pepper and grass. Very subdued. Smooth and light, with low carbonations. Not too original, but nice enough. Needs more hop character to shine. (2012 version got the hop character well done. very fruity, very clean, nice.)

Draught at Tadg’s. Everyone was raving about this, but when I got it, even though it was less than a week old, it wasn’t quite as good. Slightly acid nose, light malt aroma. Light amber color. Hot alcohol and big hop flavor, super bitter, with a little cherry and gumball but otherwise simple and straightforward flavor with hop bitterness taking the cake. Decent, though maybe not at its best.

Draught at Tadg’s. Nice, soft, Amarillo nose, fruity, slightly estery, with citrus, orange mainly, and peach. Deep golden orange color with a fine, thick head. Flavors of peach, orange, honey, crackers. Nice and clean, malty and good. Nice body. Very tasty bitter finish. Could use a bit more of a kick of some kind.

Draught at Tadg’s. Pretty deep golden color with a low head. Nose of caramel, a but of butterscotch, no smoke, apricots. Sweet, estery flavor with peach and very, very light smoke. Some dry fruit as well. Big caramel, light hop bitterness. Too sweet and estery so that it got to be a bit much.

Very dark amber color. Lovely nose of tobacco, orange and a touch of spiciness. Mouth is very full, malty start, but then some hops hit the back of your throat. Very well balanced. Light bitter finish. Very moorish. Lots of layers. Excellent take on the style

Draught at the Osaka Minami International Beer Festa, 2011. Nice, shining reddish amber color. Nice citrus hop aroma with some caramel malt and some dirty earthiness, citrus hops lead. Sweet caramel flavor, but nicely hopped. Well done. Clean and tasty.
