Draught at Tadg’s. Wheat and grain aroma, cereals, rye for sure, tart fruit. Much like a bowl of breakfast cereal. Crunchy, even. Cloudy gold color. Sweet and fruity flavor, like grainy candy somehow. Unpleasant in the mouth. Something is wrong with the flavor.

Draught @ The Aldgate as ”Ise Kadoya Ryezen.”
Looks foggy, no head. Yeasty, slightly wheaty aroma with some fruits and hints of citrus. Flavour is sourish and tart with some citron and wheat. Sweetish finish. Feels like a sour and a bit odd wit. Good stuff, but rather far from Sahti.

Draught @ Tadg’s, Kyoto. Rated on 09.09.2011
Aroma is rather light and a bit stale with malt and sweetish caramel. Palate is smooth but a bit thin. Flavour has sweetish malt and caramel. Some notes of berries common to Danish brews. Slightly hoppy finish. Feels like amber ale. Average stuff, nothing special.

50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Kyoto. BBE 02.10.2011
A bit stale aroma with bready malt, yeast and some fruity hops. Flavour is a bit more hoppy with some bready malt and yeast. Average, I expected more hoppy stuff based on name and style.

Draught at Tadg’s. Medium copper color with a low, fine head. British nose of caramel malt, grassy hops. Rather malty and decent nose. Earthy flavor, grassy, light caramel. Mild but tasty, with a nice bitter finish. Not so exciting but nice enough.

Draught at Q-Brick. Nice light cascade aroma with light golden malt. Nice and clean. Deep gold to orange with lace. Sweet, bready malts, nice cascade flavor, with orange and lemon. Tasty, with great bitterness. A bit too sweet overall, but the hops are nice. Rich and full.

Amber red color. Very earthy, cherries and strawberries in the nose. Solid malt backbone with aggressive hopiness, but the result is more like an aggressive hoppy summer red ale. Not sweet. Good depth. Yum. Hint of tangerines and cherries in mouth.

Draught at Tadg’s. Deep amber-orange with a fine, nice head. Malty, fruity aroma with a bit of an aged character and pineapple, pear, maybe peach. Mellow, malty flavor, fruity, with peaches, esters, fruit salad. Alcohol is hidden. A bit heavy and really sweet with a bitter finish. Too sweet and somewhat syrupy, and I suppose, just really not old enough.
