Draught at Tadg’s. Pretty amber-orange color with a fine, foamy head. Nose is slightly fruity. Faint overall. Fruity, dry flavor, metallic, with clean, earthy malts and some cherry and orange. Nice. Not very flavorful, but dry and very drinkable. Nice strong bitterness. Sweetness is light and nicely warming. A bit bland but a good session beer.

Draught at Tadg’s. Spicy yeast aroma with a dry fruitiness. Very Belgian yeast character, with a light earthiness. Nice deep copper color with lace. Dry, mineral flavor; yeasty and spicy. Some peaches. Could really use a bit more malt and sweetness. Extremely dry. A refreshing summer drink that needs more maltose next time. Not even a bit like an IPA, though. Wrong choice of name.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton at MesandSim’s crazy wedding party. It pours hazy orange, with a thin fizzy off-white head. The nose is orange, mango, resin, farmyard, cheese, cardboard and dust. The taste is mango, pineapple, tangy orange, sweet tangerine, wood, hay, grass and resin, with a light tangy-dry finish. A pretty solid IPA.

Based on their Mellow Wheat, but with Valencia Orange added. Draught at the brewery. Big orange nose, very strong and over-powers the beer a bit. Nice wheaty taste to go with the orange, creamsicle, extremely sweet--so much so that it’s hard to drink. Tasty enough, very fruity. Just too sweet.

Bottle and Keg at the Japanese Craft beer tasting at the White Horse. It pours light hazy golden yellow, with moderate carbonation and a 1cm white head. The nose is lemon, lime peach, apple, wood, grass, sweet citrus and toffee. The taste is sweet lime, lemon, tangerine, bread, oak, grass, light ginger, bamboo and hay, with a dry finish. It is very woody, and perhaps a bit thin. An interesting ale, but not overly drinkable. The bottle was much fresher tasting than the keg version.

Bottle at the Japanese Craft beer tasting at the White Horse. It pours clear amber, with a thick foamy beige head and fairly low carbonation. The nose is cardamom, wood, caramel, nutmeg and paprika. The taste is resin, wood, malt vinegar, bread, cardamom, fig, currant, raisin and ginger towards the finish. A very exotic tasting double IPA.

On tap at the White Horse. Big thanks to Doug, Jamie and Mark for arranging, facilitating and serving. Cheers Guys! Hazy orange beer, tiny white head. Smooth and silky palate with a paradoxical crisp edge. Lovely lime and citrus sherbet with pithy bitter edge. Some orange tangerine in the aftertaste. A really nice DIPA - hugely drinkable with a vibrant exotic fruitiness. Lovely!

Bottle at the White Horse. Big thanks to Doug, Jamie and Mark for arranging, facilitating and serving. Cheers Guys! Very hazy amber beer, big fluffy white head. Sherbetty citrus nose. Light, semi dry palate - very light. Fresh vibrant seltzer minerals. Must be Sorachi in here - creamy lemon. Also mild minerally lime and tangerine from the Yuzu I guess. Some tangyness as well. There is a certain ’Refreshers’ sweets vibe going on. A little seltzer minerally bitterness in the finish. Overall though a really nice fruit beer. Was sorry when I finished it!
