Very deep brown with a beige head with the fizziness of cola. Very chocolaty nose with some biscuit, toasted malts, and caramel. Interesting. Has an odd mouthfeel. High levels of carbonation but the bubbles are so much smaller and lends to a nearly flat feeling at first feel. Flavor has plenty of chocolate. Burnt malts, roasted, cocoa powder, and light molasses. Has a powdery and bitter finish. Interesting and pretty tasty though, one is enough.

Clear, light copper. Aroma is quite full of grass and earthy hops with just a little citrus. Medium bodied. Flavor is citrus, pine, and a little grass. Nothing special but it’s got a nice smooth, light bitterness and is refreshing. Ends with a decent bitterness.

Dark amber color. Caramel, citrus and toffee in the nose. Caramel and citrusy mouth. A bit on the sweet side, but not too malty. Very drinkable. Alcohol well hidden Moderately bitter finish. Excellent.

Hazy orange with a tall white head. Malty, hops, some citrus, grass, and strong caramel in the aroma. Full bodied. Strong caramel malts, sweet, earthy, grass, and very light citrus in the flavor. Alcohol is also present. It’s decent, but disappointing, actually. I rated this off the bottle. Had it on draught near the Ise Temple and it was a bunch better, probably the 3.7-3.8 range.

Copper with a big white head. Grassy hops, light sweet malts, and some lemon in the aroma. Flavor is nice, but is this really a brown? The grassy hops are very present. Lightly citrus, some sweet malting in the back. A bit simple and one-sided with the grass being the major feature here. Still, very nice and pretty easy to drink. I would actually buy this more often if I could find it around me.

Cloudy orange. Sweet for the style, with lots of malt. Maybe a bit under-hopped, but good hop bitterness anyway. I like the Triple Hop better.

Cloudy gold appearance. Huge white head. Immensely floral aroma, with a bitter hop flavor, and possibly Belgian yeast. It reminds me of some of the Belgian IPAs. Good hop flavor, and a citrus finish.

500 ml bottle from the brewery. Light, thin amber-brown color with a thin head. Spicy, sweet aroma with cinnamon, maple, cookies. A very rich and pleasant dessert aroma. Very sweet and spicy flavor, tons of Maple and Cinnamon! Some fruit, but overwhelming cinnamon, including a gritty bitter spice finish. Some of that seems to be hops as well. It is very sweet. Well done and flavorful with a bit of complexity, though not my style.

Hmm, a beer from a company that also produces miso and soy sauce? - interesting - a pretty good-looking beer, at least - hazy orange, with a soapy, well-sustained head - kind of a doughy, yeasty aroma, with a bit of mustiness and citrus-like hops - full of mouthfeel, medium body - this bottle seems a little old, as the hops aren’t as crisp as they could be, but they are plenty peppery and minty - mostly dry, with a bit of bready character - a tad earthy - a bit of vegetal character in the finish detracts a touch from the enjoyment, bit it’s decent.

pitch black color. Very rich dark chocolate and treacles in the nose. A Touch of ash and mildly salty. The mouth is not as full bodied as I was hoping. Decent roastiness and mildly bitter. Could have done with more hops and more abv, but otherwise decent.
