Onze hop komt ook uit de regio. In Reijmerstok, een dorpje op steenworpafstand van de brouwerij, verbouwt familie Wouters volledig milieuvriendelijk drie hopsoorten die onmisbaar zijn voor onze bieren. Het oogsten van de prachtige hopbellen is elk jaar weer een bijzonder moment. Samen met familie en vrienden van de brouwerij oogsten we dan niet alleen onze hop, de basis van onze karaktervolle bieren, we vieren ook het feit dat we vrij zijn. Vrij om onze eigen koers te varen en alleen te doen wat goed voelt.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is very woody with vanilla, rum, notes of raisins, malt, dried fruits. Not much of the hop remains. Medium sweet, mild bitter. Body is medium. Pleasant.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is malty with spicy yeast, some banana, clove, esters, sugary fruit. Lightly floral. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light bitterness. Medium body. Typical Belgian Ale, decent enough.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is zesty citrus peel, yuzu, some ginger, grapefruit, hoppy notes. Flavour is moderate bitter with a light sweetness. Light body. Drinkable on a hot summer day, don't like the lack of body though.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is a bit floral with citrus, yeast, light pale malt, some orange and a touch of tropical hop. Lightly candied fruit. Flavour is a bit sweetish with a decent bitterness. Body is medium. Pretty decent hoppy floral Blond.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is citrus, orange, grapefruit, fruity hop. Flavour is medium bitter, body is light to medium. Basic citrussy Session IPA, decent bitterness, not bad.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Big Rum upfront, boozy with loads of raisin, malt, more dried fruit, spicy notes, alcohol. Medium sweet, boozy finish. Very nice with a strong rum profile, well done Gulpener.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is toasted malt with caramel and soft fruity notes. Surprisingly bitter with a moderate sweetness. Body is medium. Nice bitter Amber.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Very spicy with cinnamon, sugary fruits, speculaas, malt, yeast, turkish delight, some nutmeg. Flavour is sweet with a light bitterness. Medium body. Works better than I expected.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is citrussy hop with orange, citrus zest, tropical notes, mandarin. Flavour is medium bitter and slightly sweetish. Medium body. More like a citrussy APA but surprisingly decent.
