Cask 4 oz taster at Churchkey in Washington DC. The pour is only slightly hazed orange golden with a minimal light tan head. The aroma is fresh grass, orange fruit and a soft toasted malt. The taste is the nose, nice balance between the fresh grass, orange fruit hop and the toasted malt. Palate is light to medium bodied, soft natural cask carbonation and a crisp mineral hop dry finish. Nice stuff.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a clear orange color with a small white head. Aroma was mangoes, with notes of light pleasant pine and peaches. Flavor had the malts and hops relatively balanced, but still delivers a great hop punch. Flavor had tropical fruits, notably mango, with some light pitted fruits. Alcohol is only slightly evident. For locals, it reminded me a bit of a lighter version of DC Brau’s On the Wings of Armageddon.

On cask at Pizzeria Paradiso DuPont Circle DC. Pours a cloudy pale amber with an off white head. Oaky vanilla nose. Creamy mouthfeel neither light carbonation. Some orange notes but oak dominates. Smooth finish.

Very happy to snag a growler of this from the cask to share with some friends. Pours a hazy gold with one wisp of white head. Nose is nice, lightly herbal, some solid orange and citrus, earthy, lightly sweet, bouquet garni. Flavor is nice, lightly sweet, very earthy reflecting the peppercorns, lemon, orange, a little cracker. Medium bodied, dry finish. Nice.

Sampled and growler from the source. Pours a hazy gold with some soft, white head. Nose has plenty of citrus, obviously, heavy tropical fruit, passion fruit, star fruit, lemon. Nose also has a bit of a artificial sweetener hint to it. Flavor is the same, grass, meyer lemon, start fruit. A bit too heavy on the malt (or maybe some adjunct?) leaves it a bit flabby and overly sweet. Almost has a bit of a Belgian aspect to it in terms of sweetness. I thought this reminded me of what a DC Brau Imperial Citizen would taste like. Overall decent.
