Description
The Aldaris Brewery in Riga, which was founded in 1865, is the leading and most developed brewery in Latvia.

Aldaris was the first company in Latvia to gain ISO 9001 certification and it won the first Latvian Quality prize in 1997. Aldaris produces more than 17 different light and dark lager beers based on traditional recipes. This includes the beer that carries the company's name – Aldaris – which is the oldest and one of the most popular beer brands in Latvia.

In the latest years, Aldaris takes part in the industry’s most important competitions whose awards are highly prized across the globe. The most prestigious of these are the Australian International Beer Awards, World Beer Cup and the European Beer Star Award.

In small cup from can. Smell- weak, some hops maybe malt Foam- medium large, white Appearance- clear yellow amber, medium carbonation Taste- weak hops, weak bittersweetness and citrus, weak hops and citrus in aftertaste. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

Pours clear gold with a large white frothy head. Good retention. Aroma: grainy malts, honey melon, corn, light lager yeast. Light to medium body. Average carbonation. Taste: sweetish malty. Grains, corn, melon, some hops. Low bitterness. More bitter hop in aftertaste. Inoffensive one.

Can. Golden, clear, snow-white foam. Aroma: malt, crackers, light hint of spicy hop. Taste: malty, a little apple and spicy-grassy hops, mediocre.

Can. Golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is dry and lightly hopped with yeastiness, and the flavour is dry and malty with a good bitter finish and yeastiness. Overall a reasonable beer.

Imperial pint can. Pours clear gold with a tall white head. Aroma is grain, faintly fruity. Taste is light bitter, malt, grain, faint citrus. Light bitter finish. Pretty good macro lager.
